current bgm: Lullaby to Nightmares- They Might be Giants

Dude, just when you think that Marines can't blindside you anymore than they already have, try coming onto the deck from dinner to see about eight females in a circle in the hall playing 'Down by the banks'. You remember, that game everyone played in the fourth grade where you slap hands singing 'down by the banks of the Mississippi/ where the bullfrogs jump from bank to bank-y/...', right? Yeah. After that they decided to play tag in the halls using the yellow door frames as bases^^;;

Have I mentioned how much I love being in the Corps recently? I mean, sure it's annoying and everything, but when I see stuff like that or all the weird crap me and the boy-os talk about makes everything worth it. I honestly haven't felt so comfortable living with so many people before in my life.

This is the last weekend one of the Coasties (coast guard stays in the same building as us because so few of them come here) and he's having this mother of a blow out anime marathon we nicknamed Menchicon (because i got so many people into excel saga, nyahaha XDD). Even though today went by soooooooooo slowly, I'm feeling so much better. I was one of the few people that passed room inspection (and a lot of them failed for really stupid reasons), I got over being sick (woooo!) and I have that marathon to look forward to. From Saturday morning to sometime late Sunday. I am very happy.

The only problem with this is not only do I have a four-hour duty shift Saturday morning-afternoon (from 7-11) but it's also my brother's birthday tomorrow. It'll be the first year I don't spend it with him. And it's not even two hours home by Metro. I feel kinda bad for it. But I'll get him a kickass present, so he better be grateful!

Today we got more RMs. This time, though, it's Quick, Crash and Ring (from left to right). The obviously dubbed 'Idiot Trio'. The three of them were best friends since around the end of the fourth war and have been having fun, running around, being hyper and making fools of themselves ever since. That's the best kind of friendship right there, man.

I'm thinking of turning it into one of those sticker pictures that has something corny like 'Friends 4-eva' or something.

On another note: they're translating Shonen Jump soon (the coastie brought me a free sample magazine when he went to the big apple anime convention last weekend)! Wai~! Naruto, Shaman King, One Piece, all in glorious English! I wonder when they'll start off, though. And they're putting in Dragonball Z for some reason, I think because they might have taken out TenniPuri (prince of tennis). *bitter* I wanted to see how that looked, too *has heard some good things about it*. Ah well~!
