current bgm: Nishi E Higashi E -Mr. Children

Holy. Crap.

Shit, I just got called into the office today. Not office office, you know, 'work' office. I'm talking the Marine Recruiter's Office. My recruiter went on leave the day before so I was being taken care of by Gunny. Well, the /other/ Gunny, the one that's not my recruiter. He was talking to me saying that he really didn't want me hanging around until August to be shipped out because originally I was supposed to leave earlier this month, like, last Friday. But because the job I wanted wasn't open, the next one to be open was in August so I said I'd take that one. I also said I'd take an earlier job opening if they could find one in the same field.

Well... my first choice was to be in Intel. My second choice (which was fighting to be first choice for a long while) was Media Options. I told him that and he saw that there was an opening but no specific date for it. He asked me if I wanted to go for it and if I wanted to leave earlier than August. I said yes and he called in to see if I could get that job.

I got it.

I'm shipping out on the 28th.

I have two weeks to quit my job, get a bunch of crap done, get out of my martial arts class, spend as much time with my family, friends and dog as possible and get into shape.

I have two weeks before I leave and already I'm more nervous than when I had District Choir auditions.

Well, that turned out well. I hope it repeats for this...

*sighs* Guess I won't have to worry about that Wacom for another three months...

Anyway, the picture today was something I doodled during a long, boring period at work. I'm responsible, go me. Anyway, this is a picture of Slash and his psycho self. For some odd reason, I'm finding his psycho persona to be a lot of fun, to draw and to write.
